Hi, I'm D'Mari Henderson, a third-year Psychology scholar at Florida A&M University.  Volunteering with I Believe, You Believe, We Believe has refined my empathy, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Every Tuesday and Thursday, after my classes, I would enthusiastically look forward to volunteering because the students would brighten my spirit without even knowing it. They also became a part of my motivation to excel academically because I knew the high-schoolers, especially, were looking up to me. Volunteering with I Believe, You Believe, We Believe has equipped me to also teach the students that learning can happen outside of the four walls of their classrooms, and that it can be so fun! Serving through this program has given me a natural sense of accomplishment and fulfillment because I can tangibly see the impact that I'm making on the students, and the impact that they're making on me!
