About
Our Purpose
The purpose of I Believe is to provide support and services to at-risk children, especially girls in Leon County. We want to provide tutor, mentoring, and literacy volunteer services to children in elementary school through high-school. Our goal is to help these children to thrive in life. We’d like to help at risk children to stay in school and graduate from high school, and we’d like to give them the start necessary to succeed. For some, success is going to college, graduating and getting a job where they can support themselves. Others may want to pursue vocational training, and others still may wish to go straight to work after high school. Whatever their life goals, we want to help these children to succeed and become independent.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
How We Plan to Do It
We are working to develop a network of volunteer tutors and mentors including adults, college students and peer-to-peer volunteers. These volunteers spend time with the children during Summer Camps and by mentoring and tutoring during the school year.

How You Can Help
We can always use volunteers, and your donations are invaluable in helping us to assist these children. Additionally, if you’d like to help by working behind the scene, we can always use more board members to provide governance and guide our efforts.
